However, as a defense contractor in Bangor, Washington State in 1993, I once saw a whole pallet of spare IBM computers, monitors, and printers sit on an outdoor loading dock for four months during the rainy season. Every day, I walked past that pile of expensive equipment, knowing it was being ruined. Yes, there was a roof over it, but it was exposed to everything else. I bet, by the time the pallet was sold by the pound as scrap, the insides of all-IBM equipment were probably fused together from the humidity alone.
