Sent admonishments to both sides. Hey, I can be a mediator. We will see. At least it is something to take my mind temporarily off of the subjects of 'hospice', 'medical', 'mortuary', incoming calls from financial departments who regard the patient as still able to take calls... (financial departments who want a comatose patient's SSN).
It goes on and on... |

Both buyer and seller e-mailed me back. The seller admits that accuracy is not there, but tells me it was built by an Electric Boat employee who was there in Groton during those years building the 703.
The buyer really surprised me. He is also an ex-bubblehead who served on USS Connecticut. He collects model submarines and is actually happy with his purchase. Go figure. Neither message replies were rude to me. The buyer thanked me and we will probably have further traffic in the future. |

I hope you don't mind, but I gave the USS Connecticut crewmember an invite to our Forum. So far, he has not replied via e-mail to me. Let me know, Agmiral... Jay |

If possible, I would like one of the 1958 ones if they are for sale.

hi Art and Chief Willie,
Thanks for the postings, I am waiting for a copy of the 65-66 cruise book that I purchased on ebay. and hope to net a 67 and a 64. Those are the years that I served and would be a nice legacy to leave for my son an ex marine sgt sailed on the LSD Pearl Harbor and now Army reserve and Fed Security for the Seattle Federal Building. Your postings are appreciated. The ebay book was the one you posted Art. Sincerly wobbling, Weeble |

Barry,
Could you use an old 2JV Station plate from the BOSTON? I have one that was removed just before delivery when they replaced all the plates on the boat. Would that be of interest? Bruce |

FYI, there are a couple of CAG-1 cruise books on eBay right now, by the same seller. Around 1959--1961. I'm not even going to post the link, because he's asking $250 apiece for them. If you're interested at that price, you can search for them.
