I'm starting this thread to get a feeling for where we came from, where we've gone, and where we're going. Be as long or as short as you want.
On the first night of one of my college classes the professor said, "Please take a moment and write down who you are, then we'll go over them." We all sat there scribbling furiously. At the end of five minutes the prof said, "That's long enough" and there were some groans, because some people were far from finished. Then he said, "I'll go first. I'm Paul Perry." And he stopped and looked at us, obviously finished.
His point was, (this was Philosophy 101) who do you think you are---and what do you think has to be included in the answer to the question, 'Who are you?'.
