I am sorry Vera cannot come but right now she needs to be at home with Ronnie. Maybe next year. He is in pain but not like he use to be -- this is just a very slow process. Yes we will all have a great time and I am looking forward to seeing everyone. Lucy PS did you have a good birthday?

I am trying to get Joes father to come with me. He still has a very hard time after 13 years since his death and I think he would enjoy this. Sounds like a great group. I will warn you now if I am there that I am a shutterbug, so y'all better watch your P''s and Q's and I am not referring to your pints and quarts.

Since then, we've only missed one; Chicago in 2006. I'm afraid 2009 will be number two. It's a very busy year for us, with the upcoming wedding of our youngest, Greg, who many of you met in Philly. We will definitely miss seeing you all. Over these past ten years we've made many friends and had some fun trips. God willin' and the creek don't rise, we'll join you all again in 2010. That will be a milestone year for me. In the words of Simon and Garfunkle, "How terribly strange to be 70!". Guy

We ended up with a nice turnout, around 265 smiling faces in the crowd. One Shipmate told me that he had just had the best ribs he's ever had in his life, after we got back from Quaker Steak & Lube. And yes, I heard some new sea stories over the weekend. FYI, when I got home my PC went belly-up, and is in the shop now. I don't do email from this one, for continuity purposes. So, I'm cut off until my main system comes home. Art

Posts: 1159 (07/27/09 09:16 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	That person must have had little experience with ribs if they thought those were the best....I am not a connoisseur of ribs, but those were not 'the best' ever....however, I did make a couple of return trips myself as they replenished the rib trays.....all in all; another 'great' reunion is in the books....my special thanks to all who contributed to this successful event, and I sincerely hope we find some good replacement staff for those people who may be 'retiring' too soon from our board of directors and committees that out-does itself each year to see that we have these great reunions....I offer to each of you my very best BRAVO ZULU....God Bless and smooth sailing.....
