My name is Marykay Lindtner... Widow of Joseph Russell Lindtner/Torpedoman. Joseph was on the USS Boston 703 from 1988 through 1991. During his time on the
ship he was hit in the head by a deck plate during a weapons load. He died of cancer in 1996. I am trying to connect with old friends of ours since we had to
leave the ship so suddenly after his accident. I remember this being such a great group of people. We would have all met while you were docked up at the
Portsmouth/Kittery Naval Ship Yard in NH/ME.

Marykay...
Very sorry to hear of your loss. You are among friends and shipmates. Although there have been 7 "Bostons" since 1776, you will find here shipmates that have served aboard one of our "Bostons" since World War II. They include the CA-69, the CAG-1 and the SSN-703 (which you are familiar with). Please make yourself at home and enjoy the "group". I assure you, their "bark" is...Well, you'll find out. Once again Marykay, "Welcome Aboard"... Fair Winds and Following Seas... Walt Rogers RM3 - OR Division USS Boston (CAG-1) 1959 - 1961 |

It looks like YOU are still the newbie...people join the forum and then never post anything ....Huh???

They do that a lot. We try to be friendly but for some reason most do not re-post. A shame as they could have some fun.

Thank you one and all for your warm welcomes. Sorry I haven't gotten back any sooner. Kids, life, a million and one excuses and just none of them are
acceptable.
I will try my best to visit back more often. Thank you again.
